Today Is the Big Day!

The day is finally here for us to head back to Kyrgyzstan. We can hardly believe that we are at this point. To think that only a year ago we were longing for a sweet baby, and now here we are traveling to the other side of the world to bring home an adorable, healthy baby boy. We are overwhelmed by God's providence and how perfect His plan is - better than anything we could have ever imagined.
Here is our general itinerary. Keep in mind that Bishkek is about 11 hours ahead of CST.
Departure 10/5 Houston to London, London to Bishkek arriving at 3:15 AM 10/7
Return 10/17 Almaty to Frankfurt, Frankfurt to Houston arriving 1:35 PM (same day)
We will have the opportunity to go visit Caleb at the orphanage on Tuesday 10/7 and Wednesday 10/8 before 'Gotcha Day' on 10/9. Caleb will be with us from that point on. We'll make the 4-hour drive to Almaty on 10/12 and complete the rest of his paperwork and medical appointments in Kazakhstan.
Words cannot express how excited we are about bringing Caleb home. We are honored and humbled by the amazing gift we are receiving from Kyrgyzstan. We have not forgotten how lucky we are to have the opportunity to go back for him when so many other children are still waiting.
Thank you so much for your support and prayers as we start the last leg of this journey! We will do our best to keep you posted along the way!!
Love,
Betsy & Bryan

Betsy and Bryan, I just caught up on all your recent posting to sum it up - nursery looks great! glad you are feeling ready to go! made me get teary about your description of your "girls" and also made me look very forward to seeing the rockstar pics! Died laughing at the pic of Caleb - glad you had the description because I didn't notice his finger until I read. Last and most important, I am so excited and praying for you 3 every step of your journey -for health, safety, stress-free paper-pushing, and special memories. Love you all 3 so much!

Well, you're in the air right now and hopefully getting a little bit of sleep. I will be praying for you all and that Caleb will adjust quickly to his new family and that everything would go very smoothly. Don't worry about the drive to KZ, he will be fine. Looks like your house is all ready for it's newest member ;) Give that little guy a kiss for us!

Blessings,
Hilary

I think you will be "Bringing Home Baby Caleb" for REAL in about 68 hours! ...at least you'll be bringing him home to your hotel room... I'm praying for each leg of your trip to go smoothly and for all of you to be well, so you can begin to make many happy memories together as a new family of 3. Love to you all, Mom

PS I know its late, but who can sleep with so much excitement in the air???
