Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! Caleb had a fun Halloween although it would have been more fun if Bryan wasn't working 3pm-3am today! It's extra stinky because the shift will end up being 13 hours long due to daylight savings time. Boo!
Tonight we celebrated Halloween by hanging out at Granny & Daddy Bob's house in Temple. Caleb acted kind of sad about putting on his adorable duck costume but once it was on he was a great sport! He even kept the head piece on all evening. Caleb is walking all over the place now and looks adorable when he's walking in normal clothes - so of course he looked PRECIOUS walking around as a baby duck! My parents and I got such a kick out of watching him waddle :)
We trick or treated at a few friends' houses in the neighborhood and also headed up to the ER to say a quick hello to Daddy while he was working. When I took Caleb into the physician's room it was full of about 10 doctors working on paperwork, etc. Caleb was thrilled to see Daddy but a little unsure of all the new faces and attention. He immediately started giving Bryan kisses and tried to lean over to kiss me too! We have found that this is something he does to us anytime he is uncertain about a situation. We think his decision to love on Mommy & Daddy when he feels scared is great and are so thrilled that he seeks reassurance from us.
Caleb didn't really understand trick-or-treating but definitely understood that he was dressed as a duck. He would quickly say "quack quack quack" when asked. We had a lot of fun this year and know that as he gets older it will be more and more fun to dress up for Halloween!

he looks so cute! I'm glad he was a good sport w/ the costume (I remember Michael not liking to wear it last year). I'm glad he's enjoying one of his newer skills....walking is so much fun! However, it DOES mean they fall farther :P

Caleb,

You are the cutest duck I ever did see. I wish I could have seen you in person. I'm looking forward to your visit at the end of the week.

Love,

Gran Jan

Caleb's costume was the best! It was so much fun to see his Halloween pictures. Thank you for sharing the adventures of this precious boy!

Oh my gosh, Caleb looks sooooooo cute! Lainey would have said "duuh, duuh" if she saw him (duck in her language -she loves ducks!) and a lady bug Sophie! Cute! And your hair is so cute too!
