Caleb is TWO!

Today we were blessed to celebrate Caleb's 2nd Birthday with family & friends.  We are so thankful that our families came into town to join us for Caleb's party and that his playmates from here in Temple were here too.

The theme of the party was 'cars' and I had a lot of fun making the decorations along with help from my Mom.  Bryan grilled burgers and we also enjoyed chips & dip, fruit salad in a watermelon car and Jan's bean bake.  I decided to go the easy route on the cake this year and have one made by a lady here in town.  She also made sugar cookies shaped like cars for party favors!

We had perfect weather, so Caleb's friends Parker, Nellie and Katelyn enjoyed playing outside and inside.  Caleb got lots of wonderful presents and really enjoyed celebrating today.  His presents included a collection of toy cars that look just like his grandparents' cars and his parents' cars along with a coordinating scrapbook made by Granny.  Caleb is able to easily recognize the make/model of all of our vehicles on the road!  He also got a Little Tikes Firetruck from Gran Jan and Pop Pop.  Bryan and I went for more practical gifts this year - a beach chair for our summer vacation, his very own potty, a potty watch and a toy trash truck.  Sadly, Caleb face planted in the backyard only hours before the party and landed on his new trash truck.  He has a pretty ugly looking gash on his right cheek but we are grateful that his eye was not injured.

Caleb, we praise God every day that His perfect plan was for us to be a family.  You are such a joy and bring so much happiness and laughter into our lives.  We love you without measure and cannot wait to see what God has in store for you!
