Easter 2010

We had a fun, quick trip to Houston for Easter this year.  Bryan worked a 30 hour shift on Good Friday, so he came home at noon on Saturday and we hit the road.  Caleb screamed and whined, Bryan slept with his neck in an uncomfortable looking position and I drove the car!  We made it safely and enjoyed a fun afternoon with my family.  We had a yummy dinner and Caleb hunted for Easter eggs with his cousins Malikai & Isabella.  It was fun to see him have the opportunity to spend more time with his cousins and his Uncle Chris!

On Saturday evening we went to spend the night with Bryan's parents.  Caleb got to enjoy the new wagon at Gran Jan and Papa's house and also had another piano lesson from Papa.  After he went to sleep, Bryan and I were able to go over to see Carolyn and Billy's awesome new house!

We celebrated Easter by going to the 9 o'clock Children's Mass, and Caleb did much better than I thought he would sitting out in the sanctuary versus sitting in the cry room.  After church we had a delicious lunch, celebrated Papa's 60th birthday and had an Easter egg hunt in the front yard.  We were also excited to go see Craig & Michelle's recent kitchen renovation on our way out of town!

It was a quick trip but we were grateful for the opportunity to see both of our families and celebrate Christ's resurrection!
