Today was definitely a day that started off right. Bright and early my little phone made a noise to let me know I had e-mail. I had left the phone on my nightstand for that very purpose, hoping that I would wake up to find new pictures in my Inbox! Sure enough a family on Trip 1 in Kyrgyzstan literally MADE OUR DAY with so many pictures of our precious Caleb. They not only sent us tons of pictures but also gave us a great glimpse into how he is doing on the other side of the world. I never knew I'd be so happy to wake up at 6am on a day off from work!
Here is my favorite picture of the wee little one, who has gained nearly a pound and grown about 1 inch in the past month!

We are still not sure why he's dressed like a girl or what has happened to the clothes we sent over for him in the past few weeks. I figure he has the rest of his childhood to be dressed in adorable clothes! :)
The wonderful parents who sent us these pictures also said Caleb kept trying to sit upright, and from what I can tell he also seems to have discovered his hands... 2 things he was not doing 1 month ago! We feel relieved to know he's gaining weight and making progress in his development, especially considering he is a preemie.
We thank God for the gift of Caleb and for the blessing of so many other adoptive families who have been a part of our journey. Their friendship, advice, support, and willingness to be our eyes and ears on the other side of the world have truly enriched our lives and our adoption experience.

Yay!!! Betsy he looks wonderful! He has a spark in his beautiful eyes ;) Hang in there...soon he'll be with you forever.
What a handsome little man! I just know his personality is going to be as precious as his sweet face. Please ask your friends in Kyrgyzstan to give him kisses from his Granny :)
How WONDERFUL to get new pix!! You can tell he is doing well, but, oy! girl, can't they get the clothes right?? *smile* You and I both know that our children will NEVER wear ugly clothes again once they are home. Waiting with you in spirit. *hugs*
He looks absolutely precious! I can't wait for him to come to Texas so I can meet him in person! Constantly praying for him and you both!
I am so glad you are getting new photos. They are such a gift!
New photos always make our day. What is up with those clothes? When we got updated pictures, none of our outfits were in sight either. He looks so handsome and looks like he is thriving well. Praying that you get to bring him home soon!
HAHAHAHA!!! I LOVE having blakmail photos for the future! But wow, his eyes could pierce right through you. He looks FANTASTIC!!
Yes, those girly clothes do seem to be a right of passage for baby boys at the orphanage! He looks so thoughtful and astute though, I don't think he'll have any trouble shaking off the embarassment ; ) SO happy for these updates!
