Bryan's First Father's Day

This post is obviously a few days late but no less heartfelt than if I had written it on Sunday! What a blessing to be able to celebrate Father's Day this year with such a precious baby boy in our home. There are many times where the joy and happiness he brings to our lives is indescribable.
Caleb and I are so blessed by who Bryan is as a father. He is kind and patient, compassionate and calm, silly and loving, generous and strong in his faith. I feel like I am a better mother knowing that I have Bryan as my partner in parenting Caleb. There have been many times from our first moments in the Bishkek hotel with a screaming baby Caleb to the middle of the night feedings when Bryan has been the voice of reason, my stronghold, and the steady presence when I was out of energy to tackle the task at hand. I could not do this without him!
Bryan loves Caleb without end and with all his heart. He loves to play with him and teach him things. He is always explaining things to him, trying to show Caleb how to do new things and encouraging him to be an active little boy (which sometimes makes me nervous!). Caleb loves his Daddy, is thrilled to see him when he gets home, and enjoys their nightly bathtime and bedtime routine together.
We had a great Father's Day relaxing at home. Here is our day in pictures:

Caleb and Sophie waking Daddy up for his special breakfast

Bryan (looking a little more awake here) enjoyed fresh fruit, coffee & monkey bread (his request)

I love this picture- Bryan, Caleb & Sophie opening Father's Day gifts and cards

Caleb "helping" Daddy assemble his new tool chest. Caleb was all about spinning the wheels on the tool chest. Bryan also got a new wallet filled with new pictures of Caleb!

After church & Caleb's nap we enjoyed some splashing and playing in his baby pool!

Going down the slide with Daddy

Even Sophie joined in on the fun. Love her snaggletooth in this picture :)

Happy Father's Day, Bryan!! We love you!!!
