Confession

Ok I'm feeling guilty here. For all you folks who think I have spare time to bake a cake and decorate it with M&Ms--- you are mistaken. I did not do any baking today for Precious Boy's 5 month birthday. I'm just really good at searching for images on Google.

In reality, I spent the day working in the morning and then driving from Houston to Temple to escape Hurricane Ike. I would have preferred to bake a cake.

Happy 5 Month Birthday, Caleb!!

Today is Caleb's 5 month birthday. While we know that there will be many more birthdays to celebrate, we wish we could be with our little guy as he reaches this milestone.

I have been waking up before the alarm every day this week, thinking about him every single time. About a week and a half ago I woke up in the middle of the night thinking of Caleb. I was convinced I needed to go check on him and proceeded to walk through the house looking for his sweet face.

For the record -- I normally don't do crazy nightime walk around nonsense.... Bryan is the one usually guilty of that!

After looking in his nursery and then in my office (why would a baby be in an office?!??) I finally came back to Earth and remembered that he's not here yet. Our precious baby has not made the 7,313 mile trek to be home with his forever family yet. We can hardly wait for the day we can bring him home! We continue to pray that as he spends each day in Kyrgyzstan he stays healthy and receives loving care from his caretakers.

I have been staying busy putting the finishing touches on Caleb's nursery and will hopefully be able to post some finished pictures soon! Of course the final touch on the room will be a sweet blue-eyed baby in the crib :)
