Time Out at Mother's Day Out

Tonight at dinner Caleb started talking about time out at his school.  I noticed a little girl was in time out today when we picked him up so I assumed he was talking about that.  However, when we asked Caleb if he ever goes to time out at school he said yes!  We were unsure if this was true (his teacher has never mentioned it) so I asked him, "Where do you go for time out at school?" and he told me "Me sit in the little chair, time out" which is exactly where time out is!

We then asked him, "Why does Miss Kim put you in time out?".  His response:  "Me's a loud kid."  Ha!  We proceeded to talk to him about using inside voice at school and listening to his teacher, but assured him that he is a good boy who needs to work on being quieter.  I'm interested to ask his teacher if Caleb's version of school is accurate or not!

Katy & Tyler's Visit

This weekend my best friend Katy and her 4 month old, Tyler, came to Temple for a visit.  I am so impressed that Katy was brave enough to travel alone with her baby boy while Travis was on a hunting trip!  Caleb was excited for them to come visit and was talking about it for several days ahead of their arrival.  He was also fascinated with the pack n' play set up in the guest room.

We had a low key visit and enjoyed time together at the house, eating too much food, late night conversation once the boys were asleep and a leisurely walk around our neighborhood.  Tyler has changed so much since we saw him when he was just a few weeks old.  He is so, so precious and we loved spending time with him and getting a quick baby fix!  Caleb was not so sure about having someone else get all the attention and showed some signs of jealousy, but overall did really well.

I am so grateful we had the chance to spend time with baby Tyler!  It was such a blessing to have them visit and to enjoy getting to know him as he grows up.  Caleb wanted Tyler to play in the grass with him outside, and I know it won't be long before Katy and I will enjoy watching our boys play together!
