There have been a lot of changes in our household over the past few weeks. I had my last day of work and left nearly 6 years of work & friends behind to begin a new path as a stay at home Mom. While the decision was not easy, I have total confidence & peace that it was the right decision for our entire family. Later this week we will close on our first home and get ready to make the big move just 5 minutes across town! I'm so glad we're not moving far because I'm not sure how I'd pack up the house under pressure with the 'help' of a 1 year old! In less than 2 weeks, Bryan will graduate from Medical School (AMEN AMEN AMEN!) and we will enjoy nearly a month of family time together before he begins residency in Emergency Medicine. While all of these things are big changes for us, they are all HAPPY changes and we thank God for His incredible plan & direction.
The other big changes are with our Precious Boy! Almost a year ago I had a dream of a blue eyed baby boy - it was April 28th to be exact - and now I have this incredible, smiling, blue eyed miracle in our home. We thank God every day.
Caleb is changing at a rapid pace. It seems like he is doing (or at least trying to do!) something new every day. We are loving this new phase that he is in and enjoy seeing him grow and change all the time. Here are a few pictures of the big changes in our little Peanut.

Caleb has a new found interest in reading books! We can actually get him to sit still & participate in reading up to 8 books at a time. We are working on his vocabulary and cognitive ability as we read, saying 'pat pat the puppy' etc and many times he does what we ask! We are so impressed at how much he truly understands.

This is how we find Caleb after every nap and every morning - standing up smiling! He is so proud of himself! He is also a champ at pulling up on things and is working on his cruising skills.

This has probably been one of the weirdest changes - Caleb is now facing forward in his car seat. He really seems to like the new view, especially in Daddy's truck because he is sitting so much higher.

Caleb also has a new love for Elmo! His favorite is a DVD at my parents' house called "Best of Elmo". He even sits in his Elmo chair to watch the show sometimes!

Caleb is doing great at eating solids. He still doesn't try to feed himself very often, but we are not worrying over that since he is doing such a great job eating table foods now. (He used to dry heave & puke when we gave him solids... not fun). Hopefully Gerber baby food jars will be a thing of the past for us soon... Until then we will patiently wait for Mr. Caleb to be ready to eat like a big boy!

We look forward to the changes to come in our lives and rest easy as things change - because we know that God's plans for our lives are for good, hope & peace. Stay tuned for pics later this week of our new house! :)
